Day 6

Another day, two more photos.

Of course Dax titled his again.

Oasis

And I, true to form, did not title mine.

I took this picture while I was sitting in a traffic jam on my way to work. Well, this is about as much of a traffic jam as we ever get. They were hauling two over size loads and boy were they big. They took up both lanes. The cars had to pull off the road completely. They also tore up a lot of trees along the road. There was one tree that is ancient that hung over the road. It's call the hanging tree. I don't know if anyone was ever actually hung from it but that's what they called it anyway. They cut a big part of it off because the trucks couldn't get through. It's sad to see a local landmark messed up like that, but it's too late to do anything about it now.

Day 5

I'm amazed with how good we're actually doing with this everyday. It's hard, though, not to take a bunch of pictures on one day trying to plan ahead.

Today Dax presents to you 'Tools of the Trade'

It was the first day back to school for the kids today. I think it's taking far more for me to adjust to getting back on schedule than it is them. Anyway, it was an early morning and it was COLD! My picture is of the frost on the car window when we were getting ready to leave.

Day 4

Well, today was back to work after all the holiday time off. Although tomorrow is the real test...that's when the kids go back to school and I really have to get up early.

Dax has titled today's picture 'Decision Time.'

Of course, mine again is nameless.

I took mine at the office as the afternoon sun was coming through the front windows.

Day 3

It's cold and rainy here today. In honor of actually having 'winter' weather, Dax made a fire for us to enjoy. So he took his picture of the smoke while he was getting the fire going in the fireplace.

I took the kids to Target today. They've got money from Christmas and it's burning a hole in their pockets. And, truth be known, it's almost torturous to take them shopping when they have their own money. So, anyway, I took a picture of one of the big red cement balls that they have out front. (I'm certain that I didn't look like a fool outside taking a picture of the ball.) I figured that as much time as I spend in that store it's only fitting.

Day 2

Yeah!! Two days in a row. We're jammin' now!!

Okay, Dax actually titled his today:

A positive change

Why a positive change? Because the battery in my car died and today he replaced it. This is the before picture.

Mine, on the other hand, remains untitled:

Day 1

Dax decided to do this with me. I guess that means that I 'should' be posting two photos each day.

We've at least made it through the first day so I guess we're off to a good start.

Trying something new

I've decided that for the year 2010 I'm going to try to take a photo of something in my part of the world and post everyday.

There's no telling what it will be. Just something.

Maybe this will help me to look at things around me a little differently.
